Bible Verses & Humour

Ever come across a particular verse while reading your Bible that tickled your funny bone? Sometimes not in a ‘HA HA‘ kind of way, but in a ‘Lol, didn’t expect that‘ sort. Here are a few of my all time favourites.

1. Deuteronomy 25:11-12 – ‘If 2 men are fighting & the wife of one of them comes to his rescue by seizing the private parts of his opponent, cut off her hand and show her no mercy’. Sounds a bit harsh, but I guess a male’s genitals were a lot more sacred back then. Why cut it off though? So she wouldn’t be tempted to recount the graphic details of said genitals to the other females in the camp?

Types Of People You Met In Secondary School

You know sometimes a bit of nostalgia hits and I start reminiscing about the time I spent in secondary school. I could even go as far as saying that I miss the good old days. Things seemed simpler back then. But as with all things, reality hits and you also start to remember the weird experiences you had and the interesting people you met. Honestly, I don’t know how we all survived at all. So, I thought it would be nice to take a trip down memory lane to remind ourselves of the various characters we came across in secondary school.

Things We’ve Stolen: Game Edition

In the words of Chucky, would you like to play a game? It’s a very simple one. For every item I list in this post, give yourself a point if you’ve ever taken it without the owner’s permission, consent or knowledge. Try and defend your innocence to the last. And May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favour.

On a side note, if you’ve ever seen someone take something & you never said anything, you’re already a certified associate thief, so this game doesn’t apply to you. Happy Counting Everyone!

Why ATMs Stress Nigerians

I would like to thank my twitter fam for this idea. Cee baby, your suggestions are always welcome. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this issue sooner. ATMs pose a serious problem in Naija & we need to raise more awareness of this. We could organise a pep rally, order sit-outs outside banks, you know, like how oyibos do it……..On second thought, it’s too much stress abeg. Forget I said anything. Let’s just complain about it. Much more fun.

The 6 Stages Of A Relationship

It’s always euphoric when starting a new relationship. First kisses, First dates, that sort of thing. Sometimes it goes south all too quickly & you’re left heartbroken, doomed to start the whole cycle again. If you’re lucky, you find the right person after a couple gos on the merry-go-round. Unlucky? You’re stuck in the ride for so long that you end up becoming a permanent fixture. Either way, experience is gained, and that experience has taught us to recognise the 6 stages we may go through.

Annoying Siblings Hall Of Fame

Sibling relationships are one of a kind. It’s this special blend of ‘I love you’ mixed with ‘I go still deny you outside’ with just a touch of ‘You must be mad. Try me and die’. I’m sure at some point we all debated the pros and cons of being an only child. But even after careful thought, I don’t think I would give up the fun, madness and drama that comes with having siblings. We have different types of course, and I feel they vary according to birth rank. However, this post is dedicated to The All-stars, The Baddest of The Bad. Try and be honest with yourself about your position in your family, okay?
